Welcome to Miami Dance Magic!

We are celebrating the fifth year of Miami Dance Magic!

We have had the priviledge of hosting dancers from around the world. From Belgium, France and England in the European theatre to friends from Australia and New Zealand, Miami Dance Magic has been an exciting stop for so many. Our friends across the US and locally have been treated to a unique weekend. One of the items we get kudos for is the extended schedule for so many of our dancers that want the weekend to last as long as possible. We know that some of our dancers have to get home to return to real life, but the rest of us just want to dance and we do everything we can to entice all of you to extend your weekend a little longer!
 
Our philosophy of Miami Dance Magic has not changed. Our objective is to supply you with a weekend that overflows with dance opportunities. For those looking for instruction, there will be over 20 hours of workshops by some of the best talents in West Coast Swing. Competition minded? We have a full slate of West Coast Swing contests: From Pro-Ams to Strictly Swing and Jack & Jills to a Masters Routine Division and the Golden Ticket Tour.
On the Pro level, a Strictly Swing and Invitational Jack & Jill will provide many of us with the inspiration and eye popping level of dance we've witnessed across the country. Finally, for the dancers who just wants to dance, we count some 50+ hours where one of our ballrooms is open to just enjoy the chance to dance!
 
On Thursday, our Kick-Off Party will feature a special workshop to start our festivities that evening. Stay tuned as we get our schedule shaped up and decide who will lead off in our batting order! The earlybird dance is part of your weekend ticket. The early workshop will be an additional charge of just $15 and benefit our Perrotta-Midiri Youth Scholarship Fund.
 
On Friday, we'll have workshops and open dancing all day long! Mario Robau returns to MC again this year! Mario is one of the top names in the history of West Coast Swing and we are proud to bring him back to the fold this year in Miami. We'll kickoff the evening with our Opening Ceremonies which will include an introduction to all of our fine staff for the weekend. After Opening Ceremonies, Mario will kick off our competitions with some Strictly Swing contests. We will do everything possible to present all awards we can each night to recognize our dancers and their accomplishments as the weekend progresses! Then it will be on to the after hours dancing that we all enjoy so well!
 
On Saturday, our expanded workshop schedule will keep you busy. We also kick our competition schedule into full action in the afternoon sessions. In the evening, we'll see some of the best dancing in the world with a variety of competitions and demos. We will also announce our fourth annual Perrotta-Midiri Florida Youth Scholarship, present awards and dance to the wee hours of Sunday morning.
 
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!
 
Sunday starts with our final set of workshops. In the afternoon, We hold the finals for all of our Jack & Jill contests and present our remaining awards for the weekend...
 
YOU MIGHT WANT TO THINK ABOUT STAYING THROUGH MONDAY...
 
As Part Of Miami Dance Magic...we once again host a stop in the Golden Ticket Tour! A preliminary earlier in the weekend will determine the field for this knockout contest which pits two couples against each other for the judges votes to move on to the next round. When the smoke clears, one couple will win tickets to the US Open, air vouchers to get there and a chance to compete with some of the top pros in the world to win the final tournament of the 16 event tour at the US Open over the Thanksgiving weekend in 2012.
 
We are once again proud to be a part of the AANCE tour. Your contest results could give you the opportunity to compete for top amateur honors with others from around the world for the 2012 tour!
 
We have two and sometimes three ballrooms in use for contests and social dancing throughout the weekend. Assorted rooms are available for private lessons with our great staff. In the main ballroom, the dance music will be strongly West Coast Swing served up by some of the best DJ's in the nation.

Our $109 special room rate will be honored from July 13th through the 23rd. Come early, stay late! Make a vacation out of it, but book your room early this year as the Miami Hyatt Regency sold out again last year.

Miami Dance Magic will give you the opportunity to enjoy Miami's fabulous world-famous beaches, shopping, cafes, Art-Deco ambience of South Beach, Bayside Marketplace, beautiful weather, exciting night-life and more. For those of you who wish to stay close to the dance action, the beautiful Miami Hyatt Regency has a fitness club, an outdoor pool and deck on the water and so much more to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Also, the People Mover, a free public monorail is just steps away to whisk you off to Bayside for restaurants and a host of stores for your shopping pleasure... or take a five minute cab ride to the Mary Brickell area filled with restaurants just down the street.

Miami Dance Magic promises to make this a "Magical" dance event experience with our outstanding staff, jam packed schedule and some exciting surprises. Beth and I will do everything possible to make your stay with us as exciting and packed full of dance action.
